- Job Description
Job Posting is a very powerful tool that can help gain exposure for your jobs.
As Job Posting does most of the work for you, you should put into your posting what you would like to get out of it. Use the following key’s to success to maximize your exposure:
Special Characters and Titles Don’t Mix
From past research, we have found that using special characters such as “/” and “&” in a the job title will limit the amount of traffic your posting generates.
BAD: Plant Manager/Supervisor
GOOD: Plant Manager
When it comes to getting your postings on the “Big” job boards, LESS IS MORE!!
Include a City and State
Very common in the recruiting industry, you get a job order that requires you to only post the State. Typically, this is because the “City” with the “Job Title” would be a dead giveaway for who the employer is. The downside of this is, job boards do not like posting job’s without a City and State. Therefore, it is in your best interest to use City and State.
